If you find yourself silently thinking or very loudly shouting the above statement then we're here to help. The good news is, your ads are probably working perfectly on your site - you just can't see them; this is actually normal, and I'll tell you why. Chitika Premium ads work differently from traditional advertisements on your website. It will not just camp out on your site displaying an ad all the time (which can be annoying to your visitors), because the wise people here at Chitika decided that approach to displaying ads was actually not all that smart. So we decided to do it differently.
The Premium Approach Premium ads will only appear on your site to a visitor that clicks through to your website from a search engine. Why? Because we believe that targeting their search query and showing an ad related to that will result in a higher CTR and we don't want you to feel like you are annoying your regular visitors with ads (this is especially important for forum owners).
How to test your ads It's very easy to check out how the ad actually displays on your site by adding #chitikatest=keyword to the end of your URL in your browser's address bar (for example - http://tongliya.co.nf#chitikatest=keyword). Refresh the page, and you will now see how the Chitika | Premium ad looks on your site for whatever keyword you used in the test (in the example, we used "doctor"). You won't see exactly what your visitors will see in the ad unit because for them it's targeted to their search query, remember? :)

Chitika Payment Method

Chitika offers the fastest way of cashing out your revenue: Payoneer. Payoneer allows you to get your funds quickly, securely and at reduced cost to more than 200 countries and regions in over 150 currencies. You are given the flexibility of choosing how to receive your funds, by the method that best suits you.

We've outlined the payment method below.

Payoneer
To receive payment via Payoneer, you must live in a country where Payoneer is accepted.
Chitika will send a payment to your Payoneer account when your Chitika earnings balance crosses $50
Once you have setup your Payoneer account in your Chitika account, you are ready to receive a payment when we send payments at the end of each month.

Do we have any other payment methods? Yes, we also offer wire transfers to users who consistently earn at least 10,000 a month.

What happens if I don't reach the payment threshold?

If you don’t reach the payment threshold for your chosen payment method in a given month, don’t worry! The money you earn will stay in your account and will be added to your earned revenue next month.

Remember: The money in your account will never disappear after a certain amount of time. But, please make sure that you complete all the necessary steps for getting your payment!

Payment on Hold - W8/W9 Message

Are you expecting to be paid, but when you visit your Payment History, you seen a message that says “Payment on hold - W8/W9”?

You’re not alone! This message simply means that you will have to fill out your W-9 or W-8BEN tax form before we can pay you.

Simply log in to the Chitika PartnerCenter and go to Account > Tax Forms. Then, fill out your required tax form. See details about how to fill out your tax form here.

After you submit your tax form, you may still see the Payment on Hold message. This message will clear just before the next payment cycle so you can receive your payment in time.

What do I need to do to get paid?

You will need to meet three criteria before you can receive payment as a Chitika publisher:
You must fill out your tax form
Your earnings balance should be more than $50
You have setup your Payoneer account in Payment Settings and the account should be Active.

1. You MUST fill out your tax form

All Chitika publishers, no matter where they live, where their visitors are from, and where their servers are located, must fill out a tax form. If you are a United States citizen or resident alien, you must fill out the W-9 tax form. All other publishers must fill out the W-8BEN tax form.

Fill out your tax form by logging in to the PartnerCenter and clicking Account > Tax Forms.

Tax forms must be submitted by the 5th of the month in order to receive payment in that month. If you submit your tax form after the 5th of the month, you will be paid out in the following month, provided you have reached your minimum payment threshold.

2. Your Chitika account balance MUST be atleast $50 in the previous month.

Chitika operates on a Net-30 schedule. This means that the revenue earned in one month will be paid out at the end of the following month. For example, if you earn $60 in March, you will be issued that $60 payment at the end of April.

3. You MUST connect your Payoneer account in our system.

You will need to setup your Payoneer connection by logging into your Chitika account and clicking on Payment Settings. Once the connection is shown as Active, Chitika can begin sending payments to your Payoneer account.

In March 2010 Yahoo! announced that they would phase out their self-serve ad platform (YPNO) for publishers and named Chitika as Yahoo!'s preferred referrer ad network for small-to-mid size publishers. Almost three years later, Yahoo! continues to choose Chitika because of the consistent innovations Chitika brings to the ad space. By layering Chitika’s technology over the Yahoo! advertiser demand, it creates a compelling and effective solution for publishers looking to maximize their ad revenue streams.

Yahoo Publisher Network To Be Axed, Customers Referred To Chitika Instead

We just received an anonymous tip from someone who claims to have received an email from Yahoo which says that the company’s Google AdSense counterpart, Publisher Networkbeta , will be shut down by the company in the next 30 days. There’s some chatter about it on Twitter as well, so this looks like it’s coming from a credible source.
Apparently, publishers are being pushed to Chitika instead, which has set up this section on its website to “make the transition from Yahoo! Publisher Network as easy as possible”.
Update: it’s legit, alright. Here’s the full email:
Dear Publisher,
Yahoo! continuously evaluates and prioritizes our products and services, in alignment with business goals and our continued commitment to deliver the best consumer and advertiser experiences. After conducting an extensive review of the Yahoo! Publisher Network beta program, we have decided to close the program effective April 30, 2010. We expect to deliver final publisher payments for the month ending April 30, 2010 to publishers no later than May 31, 2010. All publishers eligible for 1099s for the 2010 tax year will have those mailed by January 31, 2011.
Because our content will no longer be delivered to your ad unit spaces after April 30, 2010, we recommend removing all YPN ad code from your pages by that date.
For the opportunity to continue earning revenue, we suggest using Chitika, a leading advertising network that syndicates Yahoo! Content Match and Sponsored Search ads. Chitika has set up a special process for YPNO beta publishers to participate in its platform. Click here for more information.

The YPN blog remains silent about the axing, so far (update: live now). We have e-mails in with both Chitika and Yahoo for more information.

One thing I’m trying to figure out is why Yahoo doesn’t refer publishers to its search partner Microsoft instead, who operates adCenter.
For background: the Yahoo! Publisher Network (aka YPN) was launched in August 2005 and has been labeled a beta product by Yahoo up until today. It provided registered publishers with cost-per-click contextual advertising as well as various tools and services to assist them in building and improving their websites.
While it will continue to exist for some of its large, premium publishers, the Yahoo Publisher Network Beta for small publishers will be axed.
